Buyology: The Truth and Lies About Why We Buy Martin Lindstrom, Paco Underhill Doubleday Business, 2008, 256 pages
Lindstrom and Underhill do a great job of exploring the minds of individuals and trying to understand why we buy what we do. The book is based on three years several million dollars of research performed by the authors, adding to the validity of their arguments. One of their arguments is that warnings on cigarette packages are not sufficient to make people not want to smoke. The warnings may actually do the opposite. The authors explore advertising and how the media effects us in this page-turner. Overall Rating = 4 / 5 Price: $18.99 USD |
